A long-running controversy over the will of Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray has flared up again after a sensational claim by Shiv Sena leader Ramdas Kadam, who belongs to the Eknath Shinde faction.

Kadam alleged that Bal Thackeray’s body was kept for a day after his death so that his fingerprints could be taken on his will. He said this claim came from the doctor who treated the late leader. Bal Thackeray died on November 17, 2012, at the age of 86 due to age-related health complications in Mumbai.

Directly targeting Uddhav Thackeray, Kadam demanded an explanation and hinted at more revelations ahead. “This is just a glimpse, the movie is yet to come,” he said.
