When Garrett Crochet absolutely stymied the Yankees lineup on Tuesday, striking out 11 in 7.2 innings of one-run ball, everyone expected that would be the best performance by a starting pitcher in the AL Wild Card round, if not the entire postseason run. And yet, in the end, it would only be the second-best performance of the series, as Yankees rookie Cam Schlittler, making his postseason debut in just his 15th career start, put together one of the best postseason outings of all time.
