UPLAND, Calif. (WFLA) — A dramatic body camera video showed officers in California jump into action to save an unresponsive baby's life earlier this week.
The Upland Police Department said it received a 911 call around 2 p.m. Monday about a baby not breathing near 13th Street and Campus Avenue.
The officers arrived in minutes, saw that the baby was unresponsive.
"Is the baby breathing?" the officer asked a woman. "Please, she won't breathe. I've never dealt with this," the woman told the officer.
An officer then quickly began to clear the baby's airway by performing CPR.
Once paramedics arrived, the baby started to breathe again and was rushed to the hospital.
Upland officers said doctors believe the baby was choking and went into cardiac arrest. The baby remains in the hospital, but
