MARION COUNTY, Fla. – The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help to identify someone who’s accused of opening fire last month at a high school homecoming party.
The shooting was reported Sept. 27 at a bonfire party to celebrate Forest High School’s homecoming, the sheriff’s office said on social media .
The accused shooter, so far described only as a male, attended the party and fired multiple shots at a juvenile victim after a physical altercation started, the post states.
Nobody was struck by bullets, but the scene was witnessed by several people who were unable to identify the suspect, the sheriff’s office said, adding a deputy was able to obtain a picture of the suspect from social media.
