Coronation Street fans have been quick to respond as the show's DI Costello star was seen alongside his Lisa Swain and Kit Green co-stars.

Those who follow the ITV soap are keen to find out more about the character, played by Daon Broni, who is the head of CID within Weatherfield Police.

He has appeared intermittently since August 2024 but its in more recent months that Costello has been causing problems for fan-favourite DS Lisa Swain, despite him claiming he's only been protecting her.

Fans will recall that Costello pushed Lisa into having therapy sessions, after the death of her colleague PC Craig Tinker triggered memories of the loss of her own wife, Becky Swain, in the line of duty.
