Yukon Blonde answers that question in the title of its latest record: Friendship and Rock ‘n’ Roll.
The latest album from the Vancouver-based, Kelowna-formed quartet is both an 11-tune celebration and an affirmation of what has kept the members making music over the past two decades. Beginning with 2009’s Everything in Everyway, the group has carved out a name in Canadian music for chiming power-pop singles such as Saturday Night and Colours of My Dreams.
Chief songwriter, vocalist and guitarist Jeff Innes, and guitarist and vocalist Brandon Scott sat down to talk about the new record, touring before the album release on Sept. 19.
