Jowai, Oct 3: Zemabawk YMCA from Mizoram won the title at the 2nd North East Region YMCA Futsal Tournament, defeating Laitlyngkot YMCA of Meghalaya 4-3 in a nail-biting final.

The highly anticipated tournament was organised by the Jowai City YMCA on October 1 and 2 at the Chalton Jowai Arena, Moosalyngkat.

The tournament saw participation of eight teams: Aizawl YMCA, Nongtalang, YMCA (Team A & B), Zemabawk YMCA, Laitlyngkot YMCA, Jowai City YMCA (Team A & B), and Shangpung YMCA.

The final match was an entertaining spectacle. Both Zemabawk and Laitlyngkot fought hard in a tight contest, trading goals from the very beginning. The deadlock was finally broken in the second half when Zemabawk scored the decisive goal to seal their championship victory.
