LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Community members are being called to action in the fight against gun violence as registration opens for ONE Lexington’s 3rd Annual Symposium on Youth and Young Adult Gun Violence.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, October 16, at Spindletop Hall. This year’s symposium will focus on ONE Lexington’s updated five-year strategic plan and seven “community calls to action” that organizers say have already helped reduce gun violence in Lexington by 60 percent since 2022 — bringing incidents to their lowest levels in nearly a decade.
