RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB) - Two people have been arrested following a shooting investigation that happened in the parking lot of Super Daqx, according to the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office.

RPSO said deputies arrived at the scene on September 27 around 4:30 a.m. Five shooting victims had been taken to local hospitals by private vehicles. Additional detectives responded to hospitals and Raising Cane’s on MacArthur Drive in Alexandria to process further evidence.

One of the victims, identified as Rakel Markez Morris, 27, of Alexandria, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Christian Matthew Scott, 28, of Simmesport, was arrested on September 30, and Jonathan Lee Christal, 31, of Lettsworth, was arrested on October 2.
