TEMPERANCE – It’s been a strange season for St. Mary Catholic Central’s volleyball team.
Injuries have forced the Kestrels to experiment with a lot of different lineups.
“I feel like I am piecing it together every match,” SMCC coach Kim Windham said.
The pieces fit together well during a 15-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-18 victory over Bedford on Thursday, Oct. 2.
SMCC was blitzed early, falling behind 20-7 in the opening set.
“It was not a pretty show,” Windham said.
The Kestrels recovered with a strong finish to that set, then won the next three.
“Bedford is obviously a great program,” Windham said. “To walk away with a win gives the girls so much confidence. I am very proud of them. We regrouped, stuck with the game plan and figured it out together.
