Pets aren't always treated by law as carefully as human children. A bill recently passed the Pennsylvania House of Representatives that aims to treat pets more like human children.

The bill, which is Democrat sponsored, passed the House 121 to 82. All Democrats voted in favor, and 19 Republicans joined them in support.

The bill will need to pass the Senate before moving to the Governor's desk for consideration.
