Self-proclaimed mastermind Taylor Swift was entirely blown away when her football-playing boyfriend, who doesn’t know the word “fortuitous,” managed to surprise her with his proposal. “He really crushed it in surprising me,” Swift said while on The Graham Norton Show on October 3 for the release of her new album, The Life of a Showgirl . Apparently, the whole setup for his proposal, including the garden scene, was built while the two recorded their New Heights episode. “While we were talking on his podcast, he had a complete garden built out the back of his house to propose in,” she told Norton, adding “He went all out — ten out of ten.”
