Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday lauded India’s growing self-reliance in defence, noting the country’s decreasing dependence on foreign nations for weapons and equipment. He said the situation has changed significantly, and today every component, weapon, and platform proudly bears the inscription “Made in India.”
He highlighted the Ministry of Defence’s agreement with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to procure 97 light combat aircraft, with more than 64% of the equipment to be produced domestically.
