Officials in the Pequannock school district are vowing to work together to heal a shaken community after a teacher was arrested for an alleged sexual relationship with a student.

The district Board of Education held a special meeting Oct. 2 , three days after William Arnold was charged with aggravated sexual assault and other related offenses. President Brian Senyk read a statement on behalf of the board that did not mention Arnold by name, but acknowledged the "concern, sadness and anger" the situation has caused within the district.
