LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - The Bekery, an informal breakfast joint with French-style pastries and coffee, showed 7 News the seasonal flavors they are bringing to their customers’ tables this fall.
Chef Estevahn Cadena showed us how to make an autumn salad, which has seasonal ingredients such as butternut squash, cranberries and some spiced candied nuts.
One thing that sets the Bekery apart is its coffee.
“Here we do traditional French-style coffee, so typically that means you’d do lattes, café au laits, and we use dark roast for our espresso,” Barista Ruth Marshall said.
The Bekery is known for its pastries, and a fan-favorite right now is the new pumpkin cheesecake New York roll.
Cadena also said they are excited to reintroduce one of their classics.
