SHOW LOW, AZ (AZFamily) — A firefighter in eastern Arizona died in a crash on Friday, marking the second deadly accident involving the department in under a month.

The Timber Mesa Fire and Medical District announced that one of its firefighters died in a crash around 6:45 a.m. on Friday while riding his motorcycle to work.

Details of the tragic crash were not immediately provided, and the fire department did not publicly identify him.

“Our entire organization is grieving the loss of another one of our own,” the department said on social media. “We ask for privacy as we support family, friends and fellow firefighters during this very difficult time.”
