Air India will relocate around one-third of its domestic departures from Delhi airport’s Terminal 3 (T3) to Terminal 2 (T2) starting October 26, due to expansion work.

Breakdown of flight relocation

The Tata Group-owned carrier will move 60 of its 180 daily domestic flights to the upgraded T2. Air India Express , meanwhile, will shift all of its domestic operations to the newly renovated Terminal 1 (T1). All international flights of Air India and Air India Express will continue to operate from T3.

To help passengers identify the changes, Air India said all flights operating from T2 will be renumbered into a four-digit format prefixed with ‘1’ (AI1XXX). For example, AI1737 or AI1787 will indicate departures from T2. Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) will provide free shuttle
