That’s the simplest way to frame Saturday’s Battle of the Bay, where Norfolk State and Hampton both limp in at 1-4 and on three-game losing streaks. The rivalry still carries its weight in the 757, but this year’s version doubles as a desperate search for momentum.
For Norfolk State head coach Michael Vick, that means shaking things up. After blowing a two-touchdown lead in last week’s loss to previously winless Wagner, Vick said his team has no identity yet. But he believes changes to personnel and roles could help jump-start the Spartans.
