Amy Edmonds, a former state representative serving Cheyenne and former staffer to former Rep. Liz Cheney, has been tapped to serve as Gov. Mark Gordon’s communications director.
Edmonds will begin work starting Monday, according to a statement Gordon’s office released Friday following Cowboy State Daily inquiries.
She will work with the governor’s policy and existing communications staffers on strategy, communications, and public outreach efforts.
She could not immediately be reached for comment Friday.
“I am delighted that Amy Edmonds will be joining our office,” Gordon said in the statement. “She brings a rare combination of message discipline and experience with a razor-edged focus on Wyoming. She listens well, learns fast, and constantly rides for the brand.”
