The last boil water advisory has been lifted in western Oakland County.

Wixom removed its advisory Friday morning, Oct. 3.

Commerce Township, Wolverine Lake and Walled Lake removed their advisories Thursday afternoon. Novi had done so on Tuesday.

Advisories were in effect intermittently in the five communities since a 42-inch water main broke on 14 Mile Road in Novi on Sept. 25.

The Great Lakes Water Authority, which owns the main, is still asking residents and businesses to refrain from watering lawns, washing vehicles and other other unnecessary water use until all repairs are completed in four to seven days.

Over-consumption prompted some communities to re-issue advisories on Monday that had been lifted.
