NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The New Bedford Police Department said that two people were arrested after a search of their apartment allegedly found narcotics and a firearm.

27-year-old Carlos Sanquintin was charged with trafficking in fentanyl, trafficking in methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

27-year-old Alexis Garcia-Ruberio was charged with trafficking in fentanyl, trafficking in methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute, and several motor vehicle infractions.

Police searched an apartment on Nemasket Place on Sept. 30 and allegedly found a Taurus Ultra Lite .38 Special revolver, five rounds of ammunition, cocaine, MDMA, Percocet, codeine, marijuana, over 24 grams of fentanyl, over 28 gram
