The Lebanon Cinema Days Festival kicked off with a red carpet opening ceremony at Montreal’s historic Rialto Theatre and is promising a lineup of short and feature films that spotlight Lebanese talent and stories – running until Oct. 5.

The initiative is led by the Beirut film society, positioning cinema as a bridge between Lebanon, the Middle East, and the diaspora through the power of storytelling.

“As an actor, I believe that the only thing that can connect cultures is art,” said Badih Abou Chakra, Lebanese actor.
