COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- The first Friday of October provides opportunities for high school football teams to make their statements with the postseason looming around the corner. Several schools are hoping to turn mediocrity into winning records at the expense of teams trying to establish dominance.

Marysville hosts a 5-1 Olentangy squad that is coming off a convincing victory over Davidson, while undefeated Upper Arlington visits defending state champions, Liberty. Elsewhere, Circleville and Hamilton Township meet in Football Friday Nite's "Game of the Week" with both teams hoping to avoid their second loss of the season.
