The next home run Aaron Judge hits will be the 17th of his post-season career with the New York Yankees.

That will bring him to within one playoff homer of franchise legends such as Reggie Jackson and Mickey Mantle.

And, to think, he is considered something of a playoff failure.

The most famous post-season play of Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s career was somehow getting picked off at second base in a tight wild-card game against the Minnesota Twins. That was it.

He has yet to hit a home run in the six playoff games he has participated in with the Blue Jays, each of them opening round defeats. He does own one wild card RBI.

And to think, he is considered something of a playoff non participant.
