ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - Following community complaints, two Alexandria men have been arrested for weapons and drug charges, according to the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office.

The Rapides Area Drug Enforcement (RADE) Unit began hearing complaints in September about Diante Jerome Peace, 25, allegedly selling drugs in the Bogan Street and Palmer Court areas. RADE determined that Peace was living in the 800 block of Palmer Court and would often go to Willow Glen River Road and Third Street to allegedly sell drugs.

Peace was seen sitting in a vehicle on Third Street on October 2, making what RADE agents believed to be several street-level “hand-to-hand” drug transactions as people approached the vehicle.
