As Dana Evans gears up for her second trip to the WNBA Finals in five years, the Gary native also announced how she'll spend her offseason.

After playing overseas in recent years, Evans will join the upstart Unrivaled — a 3x3 league starting its second season — this winter, the league announced Wednesday.

Evans is averaging 6.6 points and 2.2 assists for the Las Vegas Aces in the WNBA this season. The West Side graduate has stepped up her play in the playoffs, hitting 40% of her 3-pointers as part of 7.4 point, 3.0 assist per game averages.

The Dallas Wings drafted Evans 13th overall in the 2021 WNBA Draft. She was traded to the Chicago Sky after just six games. Evans was part of the Sky's 2021 championship team, playing 7.1 minutes per game during the postseason run. Evans
