NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - It's going to be a pretty rainy and stormy Friday evening into the weekend for our friends along the coast.

In fact, there's a Coastal Flood Advisory currently in effect specifically for lower St. Bernard, lower Plaquemines, southeast St. Tammany and eastern Orleans parishes along with southern Hancock county in Mississippi through 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Minor coastal flooding up to 2-feet may be seen during high tide which could potentially flood parking lots and roadways so if you plan on driving please remember "turn around don't drown."

Also in effect over the next few days along the coast is a Small Craft Advisory through 6 p.m. on Sunday for Lake Borgne, coastal Mississippi, Breton Sound, Chandeleur Sound and all the open Gulf waters east of the Mississippi River.
