INDIANAPOLIS — The family of April Marie Garcia is still asking for help finding the 42-year-old mother after she disappeared six months ago from the south side of Indianapolis.
Indianapolis Metro police announced on April 30 that detectives were searching for Garcia, who was last seen on April 1 in the 400 block of Sandra Lane. Now, over six months after her disappearance, Garcia is still missing.
IMPD described Garcia as a 5'4", 165-pound woman with "black/reddish" hair and brown eyes. Garcia's family said they received a phone call from her on April 12 stating she was not coming back.
Police added that Garcia reportedly enjoys visiting Garfield Park and Fountain Square, where she would "sometimes stay in the homeless areas." She was reportedly last seen with a man named Steven Long,
