MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Middle Tennessee State University Police Department is investigating a surge in electric scooter thefts on campus.
The department is urging students to take precautions following 10 reports of theft of electric scooters in September.
“Thieves are targeting scooters that are unsecured or secured with easily defeatable locks. The thefts have occurred at various times throughout the day,” MTSUPD said.
