What to Know
For more than two decades, Sean “Diddy” Combs was one of hip-hop's most nimble entrepreneurs. Then he was charged with forcing, threatening and manipulating two ex-girlfriends into drug-fueled sex marathons.
Acquitted of the most serious charges, racketeering and sex trafficking, Diddy was found guilty of transporting people across state lines for prostitution. He was sentenced to 50 months behind bars, which equates to four years and two months, and will have to pay a $500,000 fine.
Prosecutors had sought 11 years in prison. His lawyers were seeking time served.
