Palm Springs Mayor Ron deHarte will host a town hall for all residents at next week.

The meeting is meant to be a venue for residents to voice their concerns and hear about the city's recent achievements and challenges from the mayor.

It's scheduled for 5:30 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 8, in the City Council Chambers at 3200 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way, and no prior registration is required.

The city council typically meets at that time the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, but isn't holding a meeting that week. The next council meeting is set for Oct. 22.

"This meeting reflects the Mayor’s commitment to transparent governance and meaningful community engagement," the city said in a news release.
