This is what it sounds like when a heartbroken community feels let down and ignored. Gathered on the same street where the unthinkable happened yesterday, the rain could only mask their tears but nothing could hide the anger and frustration they feel.
It was the day that Jewish people had warned of for years if not decades - and one they hoped would never come. Many settled in Manchester to flee persecution elsewhere and come to a place they could call home. A place they thought they would be safe.
Despite the repeated warnings of rising anti-Semitism and what it could lead to, and the extra security precautions taken by volunteers, Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, became a living nightmare. It only takes one terrorist to get lucky.
