CROWN HEIGHTS — A FIRE TORE THROUGH a second-floor apartment on Eastern Parkway early Thursday, injuring five residents, according to abc7. Flames broke out around 1:35 a.m., forcing multiple people from the building. Two women, 24 and 26, were rushed to Kings County Hospital in critical condition , while a 55-year-old woman was taken to Staten Island University Hospital in stable condition. Others were treated for minor injuries.

FDNY fire marshals are investigating the cause.
