Longmeadow PD conducts sting for drivers failing to yield for pedestrians

LONGMEADOW — Several drivers who failed to yield to pedestrians were fined by Longmeadow police officers this week, officials say.

The Longmeadow Police Department conducted a sting operation in which plainclothes officers attempted to cross the street at a crosswalk to see if drivers would stop, according to the department’s Facebook page. Drivers who didn’t stop were pulled over by police.
