NORTH ELBA, N.Y. (ABC22/FOX44) - New York Governor Kathy Hochul on Friday announced that a St. Lawrence County community leader will be the new chair of the board that considers building permits and policy relating to New York's largest park.
The Adirondack Park Agency Board meets monthly to develop "long-range land use plans for both public and private lands within the boundary of the Park." It attempts to balance economic development with environmental concerns in the 2-million-acre Adirondack Park.
"Mark Hall has worked tirelessly on behalf of North Country communities and the environment for decades," said Hochul.
