GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A West Michigan food truck is serving up tacos, burgers and frank discussions about addiction and recovery.

Sober Eats food truck owners Kevin and Joyce McLaughlin were inspired after years working with people experiencing addiction.

“Addiction is a pretty tough subject and it’s a hard field to work in. We really wanted to celebrate the recovery part of it,” Kyle McLaughlin said.

Now, the couple hopes to raise awareness about the possibilities of recovery and the reality of addiction while serving up tasty eats. Customers often share their experiences with addiction — whether it be their own story or a family member’s.
