WASHINGTON, D.C. – FBI Director Kash Patel announced that the bureau will sever its ties with two organizations that have been tracking domestic extremism and religious bias for decades.
The decision follows complaints from some conservatives and prominent allies of President Donald Trump.
Patel stated that he would sever the FBI's relations with the Southern Poverty Law Center.
In a statement earlier this week, he said that the bureau would also cut ties with the Anti-Defamation League, a prominent Jewish advocacy organization fighting anti-Semitism.
