‘Drei, Zwei, Eins:’ Mayor taps firkin to launch Mifflinburg Oktoberfest

MIFFLINBURG — Eins. Zwei. Drei.

With a count to three in German, Mifflinburg Mayor David Cooney tapped the traditional firkin Friday to kick off the two-day 20th Mifflinburg Oktoberfest at Mifflinburg Community Park on North Fifth Street. He performed the ritual in front of a crowd of more than 50 people.
