North East, MD — A Cecil County woman hit the jackpot twice in one night after unknowingly buying two identical Pick 5 tickets—each worth $50,000—in the September 30 drawing, Maryland Lottery officials confirmed.

The longtime player typically buys just one ticket per draw but walked away with two identical plays for the same combination: 78048. When the number hit, she won both top prizes, totaling $100,000.

The winning tickets were purchased at the Wawa located at 2031 Pulaski Highway in North East. The store will receive a $1,000 bonus—$500 for each winning ticket sold.
