SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A bicyclist was hospitalized with life-threatening head injuries after colliding with a Trolley in downtown San Diego Friday morning.
San Diego Police reports a 54-year-old man was riding a bicycle heading west at 100 West C Street just before 9:30 a.m. Friday. According to police, the bicyclist reportedly turned southwest into the Trolley lane right in front of a Trolley before they collided.
The bicyclist was taken to the hospital with life-threatening head injuries and police say he is not expected to survive. The man has not yet been identified by police.
Police report the Trolley lanes are separated from traffic lanes by flexible delineators.
The circumstances of the collision are under investigation by the San Diego Police Department Traffic Division.
