GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Goodlettsville Planning Commission will be considering an annexation and rezoning request for the Ironwood Residential Development, a proposal that has been rejected twice due to opposition by residents, according to Sumner County Commissioner Jeremy Mansfield.
The proposal would annex and rezone 45.02 acres at 4408 Long Hollow Pike from Sumner County Rural Residential to Goodlettsville Low-Density Residential Planned Unit Development. It would also allow 69 new single-family homes, which is down from the 91 and 112 versions of the previously rejected proposals.
Goodlettsville citizens spoke out against the two previous proposals for this development. Mansfield said nearly 100 people went to those meetings to share their opposition.
