A man has been charged in a fatal collision which occurred on Whitemud Drive earlier this year.

Police announced the charges on Friday following an investigation into the June 17 fatality.

A 39-year-old male was struck by a semi-truck while inspecting his vehicle on the shoulder of Whitemud Drive near 111 Street around 1:30 p.m. that day. He died on scene, leaving a four-year-old girl inside the van.

Following an investigation by the Edmonton Police Service’s major collision investigation aection, police laid charges against the alleged driver of the semi-truck.

Bhupinder Singh, 38, is charged with dangerous driving causing death.
