HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WLFA) — Two top officials have left the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
According to the agency’s website, Captain Lora Rivera was the deputy division commander for the professional standards bureau, and Major James Jackson was the district commander of court operations. They've been scrubbed from the sheriff’s office website.

"Upon notification of an internal affairs investigation, into Major James Jackson, he retired," a spokesperson with the sheriff’s office said.
