Montana Representative Troy Downing shared his thoughts following Hamas's partial acceptance of President Donald Trump's plan to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip. The plan includes Hamas giving up power and releasing all remaining hostages.

"Those families needed closure on this," Downing said. "I can't imagine how horrific it was for the families of...not just the living, but also the dead, to not have closure after that horrific attack that happened. But hopefully this is a step towards peace in the Middle East."
