Ed Gein, the notorious killer who inspired legendary horror films from "Psycho " to "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre," is getting renewed attention from a new Netflix series.

Charlie Hunnam, known for his roles in "Sons of Anarchy" and "Pacific Rim," is portraying the killer in "Monster: The Ed Gein Story," which premiered on Oct. 3.

Hunnam spoke about visiting Gein's grave site after he finished filming the series in an interview on TODAY on Sept. 30.

"I thought it would be good, sort of a good conclusion, to go visit his grave and say what I wanted to say to him — basically that I hope that we had told his story honestly, at the very least, and and didn't invite him to come on the journey with me moving forward," Hunnam said.
