NEWBURYPORT — The annual Rybacki Award, presented at the Custom House Maritime Museum, has been postponed due to the federal government shutdown, according to a museum official.

Named for the late Adm. Richard Rybacki, the Rybacki Award is given to the outstanding member of U.S. Coast Guard Station Merrimack River. The ceremony has been tentatively moved to Saturday, Oct. 25, at 10 a.m., pending the reopening of the federal government.
