Two South Jersey congressmen have slammed the Trump administration for a lack of information about a potential migrant detention center at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst .

“We are deeply disappointed in the Trump Administration’s failure to respond in a timely manner to our questions and concerns," U.S. Reps. Donald Norcross and Herb Conaway Jr., both D-New Jersey, said in a statement Oct. 3.

The congressmen said they received a response Sept. 29 to a letter sent July 28 to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and two other officials.

The response from Hegseth "did not answer any of our questions and provided no new information about how this plan would be executed," the congressmen said.
