Maryland Sen. Angela Alsobrooks discussed the ongoing government shutdown, health care issues, and potential firings, emphasizing the impact on middle-class Americans.
Alsobrooks joined the T.J. Smith Friday morning. When asked if there has been progress to end the shutdown, Alsobrooks said they are working steadily, but attributed the shutdown to Republican policies, with federal employees facing challenges.
“It is really important to know, that we’re at a moment that, unfortunately, was foreseeable, as the Republicans in this administration have been shutting the government down all year long,” Alsobrooks said. “We have seen in Maryland, the attack on federal employees. It’s all been illegal and it’s been cruel.”
