A 35-year-old man has died after being shot point-blank in the head in the Bronx on Friday afternoon, cops said.

A lone gunman opened fire in front of a building on Stebbins Ave. near Boston Rd., one block away from Crotona Park around 1:15 p.m., striking the victim in the head, police said.

Witnesses said the shooter first went into a nearby deli on Boston Rd. before coming out and turning the corner onto Stebbins Ave., where he blasted the victim at close range.

“He shot him in the head,” said a detective at the scene, adding, “This is a homicide investigation.”

“He was a young guy, like a teenager,” a witness said of the shooter. “He came out (of) the deli, went around the corner, and ‘pop!’ shot him in the head,” he said, not sharing his name for fear of retaliation.
