A 22-year-old man who was killed when a vehicle caught on fire on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway in West Covina was identified Friday.
California Highway Patrol officers were called at approximately 3:47 p.m. Sept. 26 to the eastbound freeway and the Pacific Avenue off-ramp, where the officers found a red vehicle engulfed in flames, CHP Officer Erik Larson told City News Service.
It was unclear if a collision occurred prior to the fire, as there was vehicle debris scattered along the freeway.
The victim was identified Friday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Carlos Martinez Sanchez.
